why consider getting residential solar?
In Australia, solar energy involves using sunlight to generate electricity for homes and businesses. Solar panels installed on rooftops or in open areas capture sunlight and convert it into electricity through a process called photovoltaics. This electricity can power appliances, lights, and other devices, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources like coal or gas. Solar energy is renewable, abundant, and environmentally friendly, making it a popular choice for many Australians looking to reduce their electricity bills and carbon footprint. Here's how it works:

-
Sunlight hits the solar panels: Solar panels, typically installed on rooftops or in open areas, are made up of photovoltaic cells. These cells contain semiconductor materials (usually silicon) that can absorb sunlight.
-
Photovoltaic effect: When sunlight strikes the surface of the solar panel, it excites the electrons in the semiconductor material. This creates an electric field across the layers of the cell.
-
Generation of electricity: The electric field forces the excited electrons to flow in a specific direction, creating a direct current (DC) electricity flow. This electricity is then collected by the wiring within the solar panel.
-
Conversion to alternating current (AC): Most household appliances and the electricity grid operate on alternating current. Therefore, an inverter is used to convert the DC electricity generated by the solar panels into usable AC electricity.
-
Utilisation of electricity: The AC electricity produced by the solar panels can be used immediately to power appliances, lights, and other devices in the home. Any excess electricity can be exported to the grid if the system is connected to it, or stored in batteries for later use.

Overall, solar energy harnesses the power of sunlight to generate clean, renewable electricity, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuel-based energy sources.
how does the government rebate work?
Australia Government currently offer various incentives, rebates, and feed-in tariffs to encourage the adoption of solar energy, making it more financially attractive for homeowners. Installing solar sooner rather than later is a wise decision as government rebates are gradually being phased out at both federal and state levels.
Step 1
Bayley Electrical is an accredited and licenced Electrical company. Reach out to us to inquire about a solar quote.

Step 2
If you qualify for a government rebate, we will handle the claim process on behalf of the customer. This rebate will help offset the upfront cost of installing the solar panels.
Step 3
Following installation, we will manage the submission of all necessary documentation and paperwork to the appropriate government agency.
